TURNING YOUR BARRENNESS INTO FRUITFULNESS

·         Main TEXTS: Psalm 113:9; Isaiah 54:1; Psalm 107: 35

This message is about preparing for the harvest, spiritual breakthrough from barrenness, release to fruitfulness and prophetic projection of our ministry and individual situations. With God, disappointment becomes an opportunity and an appointment with Him.

Definition of barrenness:                                                                                                                                         Nonproductive, not functioning properly, empty, not conceiving or producing at all or in very small quantities, unfruitful, sterile, not fertile, not producing the usual fruit, scanty, dull, and uninventive. The quality of not producing its kind. Biblically, it connotes sterility, miscarriage, abortion, lifeless, ‘shut up’, solitary places

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU…GOD IS NOT DONE WITH YOU YET! God has the keys to unlocking your barrenness. Your barrenness could be a much greater sign of future success than you might imagine. Barrenness is God’s secret school of success. Brokenness and barrenness belong to the same family, and together produce humility; faith; patience and hope (see Prov. 15:33; Jas.1:2-4).
Barrenness need not be your portion for the rest of your spiritual journey. You can bear fruit as did the once-sterile mothers of the Hebrew race. Barrenness can be God-allowed or devil-driven. A curse cannot land without a cause. When seeking out the causes of barrenness, we must ask for and develop spiritual discernment – the ability to perceive root causes, not just surface problems. We need the Holy Spirit guidance/direction (Eph. 1: 17-18). Discernment is remaining free of extremes, being able to see the whole picture, not just one side or small part of it.

Is your life barren?
Do you feel unproductive or unfruitful in your relationships, friendships and ministry?
Do you feel dry and barren in your gift or calling?
Are you barren in health, joy, creativity or success?
God wants to do a work in your life this year - He is able to turn your barrenness into fruitfulness!
