Vision: To bring God’s salvation to the ends of the earth

SCC Youth Ministry’s vision is based on Isaiah 49 v 6   

 "It is too small  a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

We seek to nurture young people who will be a light for the people of the world and who will bring God’s salvation (through Jesus Christ) to the ends of the earth.

Mission

To raise purpose filled God fearing young people through reaching, teaching and discipleship.

Purpose

The purpose of Sheffield Community Church Youth Ministry is to produce young people who are:

Righteous – We purpose to raise the bar of righteousness in society out of reverence for God.

  (Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 2 Corinthians 7 v 1)

Audacious - We purpose to raise young people who will dare to be different and will not conform to worldly standards.

(Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12 v 2)

Discipled- We purpose to raise true spirit filled followers of Jesus Christ with deep roots in God’s word and teachable obedient hearts.

 (Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28 v 19-20)

Influential- We purpose to produce young people who will be influential in all spheres of society.

(Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back, lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left, your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. Isa.54 v 2.

(Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1 v 9)

Anointed –We purpose to raise Holy Spirit filled young people.  

(And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. Joel 2 v 28-29)

Lively- We purpose to raise young people who are living life to the fullest in accordance to God’s will for their lives.

(The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full John 10 v 10)

Saved – We purpose to lead young people to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

(That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 -10 

YouthRADICALS Meetings on Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00pm @ Sheffield Christian Centre in Norfolk Park, Sheffied, S2 2PR.  This is where young people are discipled, edified and inspired by the teachings from the Bible in a relevant and interactive style. For more details contact Clodia on 07988891625

Youth Discipleship Groups

SCC believes in rooting young people who come to the Lord in the living Word of God and equip them to grow, have regular devotional times with the Lord and become mature believers are fruitful and serve in the House of God. We do this through a biblical process called Discipleship. Give Clodia a call for more details. 

On the 10th of February 2012 young people from all parts of Sheffield are coming together for an exciting time of cross cultural fellowship, relevant and inspirational biblical teaching applicable to young people's lives, off the edge street-dancing, radical praise and worship and fun! Doors open a 6:00pm.
